The Facts
In 2008, Georg Geraedts und Bert Klein (GK) founded their company R&G Agrar Ltd. & CoKG, with the target of supplying the global animal feed industry with physiologically high quality mixtures of organic acids and or their salts, as well as specialty products. Both of them came from a multinational operating corporation that played a leading role in the agrcultural sector. This made it possible for them to found their company based on many years of professional experience in the field of animal nutrition and guarantee expert advice to the customers to nearly all relevant items.
The Story
Scientists from universities and the animal feed industry – primarily in Western Europe - had switched from feed antibiotic growth promotors to organic acids in compound feed. Rather fast it became clear that only a mixture of organic acids could guarantee a comprehensive result throuout the total entire degestive tract of monogastric animals. R&G Agrar wanted to take advantages of this trend and to parcipitate with a new idea. GK were convinced that an “encapsulated Acid” in a competitive very low dosage would revolutionize the philosophy of organic acids in animal nutrition.
As fate would have it, they made contact very early to the founder of at that time young company FF Chemicals BV. Dr. Joop van Ooijen pointed out that he was not fully convinced by the new product idea. Instead he offered R&G Agrar the opportunity to become the first distribution partner in cooperation with his young company, FF Chemicals BV (then still with the companies name JEMO). A strategic partnership was born.
R&G Agrar initially etablished sales in several European countries with customized acid blends, as well as with a JEMO/FF Chemicals range of its own acids. Very soon they were able to expand their activities to regions outside of Europe, mainly Latin America, Africa and South East Asia. In this way they significantly pushed to the rapid development of JEMO/FF Chemicals. We are FF Chemicals still very thankful for their fantastic support and cooperation.
In the meantime FF Chemicals expandet its product range to include liquid mixtures of organic acids and other feed additive lines which, as it quickly turned out, proved to be a great success. Several sons of Joop van Ooijen have in the meantime joind their father’s company and pushed the comanies development forward. They had the necessary courage and entrepreneurial instinct for the market, the relevant science and product development and supplied a decisive contribution to FF Chemicals BV becoming a world-leading company for feed additives in animal nutrition.
The partnership between R&G Agrar with the van Ooijen family has always been an great pleasure and Privilege. GK are proud to have been able to contribute positively to the development of FF Chemicals! Since 1025, R&G Agrar has been liquidated due to their retirement, but the personal connection and partnership with FF Chemicals and van Ooijen family remains fully intact.
